Auckland vs Capital in round 3 of the ISPS Handa Women's Premiership

Congratulations to Auckland Football for their 3-1 win over Capital Football in round 3 of the ISPS Handa Women’s Premiership match yesterday at Madills Farm in Auckland. It was a fantastic match, football is my all-time favourite sport! The only drawback for me is that I can’t relax and enjoy the game when I’m 100% focused on getting the best action shots that I can. What I’m viewing through my lens sometimes takes up so much of my concentration that I lose track of what’s happening in the game, ha ha! Here are some of my favourite photos:

Silver Ferns vs England Roses

It was exciting to photograph my very first international sports event last week! And the first international netball event since the start of the covid-19 pandemic. The Cadbury Netball Series was a 3-game tournament where New Zealand’s Silver Ferns played against England’s Vitality Roses. Congratulations to the Silver Ferns for winning all three games, it was fantastic to watch both teams playing hard and fast. Netball is definitely one of the fastest sports that I photograph! I love it!!!

Round the Bays

I was browsing through my portfolio and updating my client list, and I came across the “About Us” page on the Round the Bay’s website featuring two of my images (the two photos on the left side of the screenshot below). I always get a buzz seeing my images being used by clients; it’s the most genuine compliment I can receive!

I was actually 7 months pregnant when I photographed this event! Which was definitely challenging, because I was one of the course photographers so I walked/jogged the entire 7km course. But I really enjoyed the whole experience and ended up with some awesome photos that the Round the Bays team have used multiple times on their website and social media.
